ShopSaver

Privacy

Effective 28 October 2026

In short: ShopSaver collects no personally identifiable information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no names, no email addresses and no tracking, so there is nothing that identifies you to keep, sell or share.

What we receive

Only what your AI sends when it uses ShopSaver: a search term, a product, or the lines of a shopping list, plus ordinary request details such as the time. We never see your conversation with your AI, only the requests it chooses to make. Nothing in a request tells us who made it.

Like any website, the services that carry a request see the connecting IP address. It can appear in short-lived server logs used to keep the service running and protect it from abuse. It is never stored with your searches, never used to identify you, and never shared.

What we keep

We keep the searches made and the price data they turn up, to improve coverage and to build price history. Server logs and the search cache are short-lived and deleted on a rolling basis. None of this is linked to a person, because ShopSaver doesn't know who you are.

Sharing

The price data ShopSaver collects is public: anyone using ShopSaver can see current prices and price history. The searches themselves aren't currently shared. In future, anonymous data from searches, such as the prices found, the most-searched products, search counts and price trends, may be published or made available as part of a dataset. Any such dataset is built only from search terms, prices and counts, and will never contain anything that could identify you. Because ShopSaver holds no personal information, there is none to include.
