Terms
In short: ShopSaver is free and comes with no guarantees. Check the price before you buy, and don’t hammer the service.
The service
ShopSaver is a free, read-only MCP server that lets AI assistants look up Australian supermarket prices. By using it, directly or through an AI assistant, you agree to these terms.
No warranty
ShopSaver is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It may change, pause or stop at any time without notice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including decisions made on prices it returned. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Prices can be wrong
Prices reflect what each supermarket publishes. They may be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and they can differ from what you see in a particular store. Predictions of future specials are probabilities, not promises. Always check the price in store or on the retailer’s website before you buy.
No affiliation
ShopSaver is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Coles, Woolworths or ALDI. All trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify products and retailers.
Fair use
- Use ShopSaver for ordinary questions about grocery prices, through an AI assistant or similar client.
- Don’t use it for automated bulk scraping or to copy its data at scale, and don’t try to get around its limits or security.
- Access may be rate-limited, and may be restricted or withdrawn for anyone, at any time.
Privacy
How requests are handled is described in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
